To connect to the specific network use Join Network button.

Name Value Description
Replace wireless configuration On/Off, default: Off Check this option to delete the existing networks from this radio.
Name of the new network string The allowed characters are: A-Z, a-z, 0-9 and _
WPA passphrase string, from 8 to 63 characters Specify the secret encryption key here.
Lock to BSSID On/Off, default: Off Instead of joining any network with a matching SSID, only connect to the BSSID 82:8A:20:FF:FD:23.
Create / Assign firewall-zone Choose the firewall zone you want to assign to this interface. Select unspecified to remove the interface from the associated zone or fill out the custom field to define a new zone and attach the interface to it.

Add

To add new network use the Add button.

Device Configuration - General Setup

Name Value Description
Status Network status
Wireless network is enabled button Use Disable button to disable this network.
Operating frequency Mode: N or Legacy, Channel: from 1 (2412 MHz) to 11 (2462 MHz)
Allow legacy 802.11b rates On/Off, default: Off Legacy or badly behaving devices may require legacy 802.11b rates to interoperate. Airtime efficiency may be significantly reduced where these are used. It is recommended to not allow 802.11b rates where possible.
Maximum transmit power driver default or from 0 dBm (1 mW) to 17 dBm (50 mW) Specifies the maximum transmit power the wireless radio may use. Depending on regulatory requirements and wireless usage, the actual transmit power may be reduced by the driver.

Device Configuration - Advanced Settings

Name Value Description
Country Code default: driver default
Coverage cell density Disabled, Normal, High or Very High, default: Disabled Configures data rates based on the coverage cell density. Normal configures basic rates to 6, 12, 24 Mbps if legacy 802.11b rates are not used else to 5.5, 11 Mbps. High configures basic rates to 12, 24 Mbps if legacy 802.11b rates are not used else to the 11 Mbps rate. Very High configures 24 Mbps as the basic rate. Supported rates lower than the minimum basic rate are not offered.
Distance Optimization auto or from 0 to 114750, default: auto Distance to farthest network member in meters.
Fragmentation Threshold off or higher or equal to 256, default: off
RTS/CTS Threshold off or integer, default: off
Force 40MHz mode On/Off, default: Off Always use 40MHz channels even if the secondary channel overlaps. Using this option does not comply with IEEE 802.11n-2009!
Beacon Interval from 15 to 65535, default: 100

Interface Configuration - General Setup

Name Value Description
Mode Access Point, Client, Ad-Hoc, 802.11s, Pseudo Ad-Hoc (ahdemo), Monitor, Access Point (WDS) or Client (WDS)
ESSID Extended Service Set Identifier
Network Choose the network(s) you want to attach to this wireless interface or fill out the custom field to define a new network.
Hide ESSID On/Off, default: Off Where the ESSID is hidden, clients may fail to roam and airtime efficiency may be significantly reduced.
WMM Mode On/Off, default: On Where Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) Mode QoS is disabled, clients may be limited to 802.11a/802.11g rates.

Interface Configuration - Wireless Security

Name Value Description
Encryption WPA2-PSK (strong security), WPA2-EAP (strong security), WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK Mixed Mode (mdeium security), WPA-PSK (medium security), WPA-EAP (medium security) or No Encryption,
Cipher auto, Force CCMP (AES), Force TKIP or Force TKIP and CCMP (AES), default: auto
Key string from 8 to 63 characters
Radius-Authentication-Server Valid hostname or IP address
Radius-Authentication-Port integer equal or higher than 0 Default: 1812
Radius-Authentication-Secret string
Radius-Accounting-Server Valid hostname or IP address
Radius-Accounting-Port integer equal or higher than 0 Default: 1813
Radius-Accounting-Secret string
DAE-Client Valid hostname or IP address
DAE-Port integer equal or higher than 0 Default 3799
DAE-Secret string
802.11r Fast Transition On/Off, default: Off Enables fast roaming among access points that belong to the same Mobility Domain
NAS ID string Used for two different purposes: RADIUS NAS ID and 802.11r R0KH-ID. Not needed with normal WPA(2)-PSK.
802.11w Management Frame Protection Disabled, Optional or Required, default: Disabled Note: Some wireless drivers do not fully support 802.11w. E.g. mwlwifi may have problems
Enable key reinstallation (KRACK) countermeasures On/Off, default: Off Complicates key reinstallation attacks on the client side by disabling retransmission of EAPOL-Key frames that are used to install keys. This workaround might cause interoperability issues and reduced robustness of key negotiation especially in environments with heavy traffic load.
Enable WPS pushbutton, requires WPA(2)-PSK/WPA3-SAE On/Off, default: Off
