Elproma Smart Manager SNMP
In the SNMP tab, it is possible to manage the SNMP module and to generate a simple SNMP configuration file to be loaded into the modem.
SNMP Control
Button description:
1. Enable/Disable the SNMP module on the modem. 2. Load the SNMP configuration file. 3. Delete the configuration from the modem. Deleting the configuration from the modem also results in automatic deactivation of the SNMP module in the modem.
How do I start the SNMP module? 1. Load a configuration file into the modem. The SNMP configuration file should be named "snmpd.conf". Correctly loading the file will result in the SNMP configuration status changing to "Loaded". 2. Next, use the butto n marked 1 to enable the SNMP module on the modem. Correctly enabling the SNMP module will result in the SNMP status changing to "Enabled".
Notes: Loading an SNMP configuration file with a name other than "snmpd.conf" will result in an unresponsive modem.
SNMP configuration file generation
Note: The Teleorigin Manager application only provides a simple SNMP file generator function and is not a sophisticated tool. With the generator, it is possible to generate a configuration file template, which will allo w the SNMP module to be started quickly.
Button description:
1. Add SNMPv2c community string, IP and trap port. 2. Edit SNMPv2c community string, IP and trap port. 3. Remove the community string from the list. 4. Add SNMPv3 user profile. 5. Edit SNMPv3 user profile. 6. Remove SNMPv3 user profile from the list. 7. Generate configuration file.
