Elproma Smart Manager Connection

The password window is the first that you see after running the Elproma Smart Manager. The default password is elproma

The device can be connected to the application by local serial port or remotely. If the connection is successful the indicator at upper right corner will change color to green.

The first connection with the modem after restarting the device may take up to 60 seconds.

Serial - row contains COM ports with connected RB900SG devices.
Remote - remote connection field must contain correct device IP and port.
Load at connect - if checked application read s data immediately after connect.
Clear at disconnect - if checked, application clears data immediately after disconnect.
TLS v1.2 - if checked, application connect to modem using the TLS v1.2 protocol (if modem is configured to work with protocol TLS v1.2) Click on the icon in the upper left corner and the navigation menu will slide out.

Saving the settings

To save the settings, click the "Save Settings" button located in the main program window. Then, depending on how the modem is connected, the saving procedure will be s lightly different. The procedure for connecting the local modem to the application is very simple. If in the modem settings in terms of items that do not affect the operation of the GSM modem, after saving the settings, the change will be made immediately. On the other hand, if the settings in the field of APN, antenna or ports are changed, the change of settings may take about 15 seconds. After this time, the parameters should change correctly. The procedure for remote connection is similar. If the modem's settings for items that do not affect the operation of the GSM modem are changed, after saving the settings, the change will be implemented immediately. On the other hand, if settings in the area of antenna or ports are changed, it may take about 20 seconds to change the settings. After this time, the parameters should change correctly. The only exception to this is when remotely changing APN settings, as changing these settings may change the IP address. Therefore, once the APN settings are changed, the application's connection to the modem is terminated. Note: Changing settings affecting the operation of the GSM modem, i.e. settings from the APN, antenna and GSM server sections, requires confirmation of the operation using the application password.

Restore to default settings

A return to the modem's factory settings is possible from the main window. To restore the settings, click on the "Default settings" button. The operation to restore the default settings must be confirmed with the application password.

Note: In the case of a remote connection, restoring the device to factory settings may result in complete loss of connection with the modem.

Password

There is an option to change the program main password by entering old password in Old pa ssword field. The new password please enter twice in the New password and Repeat new password fields. To save new password press the Change button. Password requirements: Minimum password length is 8 characters and it must contain at least one small lette r, capital letter, special character and one number.
